On-line Risk Repository Launched

5thProvince announces the release of on-line risk repository. The repository allows multiple users access to risk assessments through their web browsers.

The risk repository makes it simple for Risk Managers to categorise and control their risk information. Custom folders can be used to gather risk information for a specific area of operation, activity or project and direct other staff or third parties to the information relevant to them.

The on-line Risk Repository allows includes tree and table views of risk information with icons and links allowing clear flows through the information contained in your risk repository.

The Health & Safety team at Bord Iascaigh Mhara, the Irish Semi-State body with responsibility for the marine sector, is using the on-line risk repository to manage risk information for their plant thought Ireland.

Guntar Ollmann, Director of Security Strategy with IBM Internet Security Systems, published a timely report into the risks associated with Cross-Site Scripting. Even even the larger sites are still not addressing this category of IT risks. Risk Managers should ensure their IT and Web teams are aware that CSS or XSS attacks pose a serious threat and in most cases auditing of intra and extranets should be carried out.
